About Picture Perfect Resume

  I have been in or affiliated with the military for the past 30 years, as a U.S. Navy Career Counselor and then as a Spouse Employment and Transition Program Manager. As the latter, I can’t tell you how many individuals came to me with resumes that did not reflect themselves in the most positive manner. I taught resume writing classes to separating military, their spouses and to dependent youth desiring summer jobs. The vast majority gained a skill they did not previously have; being able to write about themselves and create a resume that secured an interview.

  My intent is to continue to assist the military, active, transitioning and retired; spouses and dependents through the Picture Perfect Resume. I still carry a Military ID card and I feel an honor and obligation to help my military brothers and sisters and their families.

  I have converted the resume class I used to teach into the Picture Perfect Resume. Since I am unable to personally teach classes to all that need assistance, the next best thing is to provide my knowledge and assistance in written form.

  It is my sincere hope that the Picture Perfect Resume will prove helpful and that with it you can create a stellar resume that reduces the resume to interview ratio significantly.

  There is nothing like helping other individuals and watching the light come on as they “get” what you are saying. I will not be able to see the light as it comes on, but I hope your emails reflect success.

  Remember, the resume does not get you the job. It gets you the interview.
